![]() Source: http://wwg.com/2017/04/12/report-star-wars-battlefront-ii-trailer-leaks Here we were, waiting for Star Wars Celebration to come around to get a first glimpse of EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II, which was confirmed to show at the event this Saturday. But, surprise! Thanks to some eagle-eyed viewers at Reddit, we’ve discovered that the trailer has leaked a few days early – and we’ve found some first images and details on what to expect from the sequel! The trailer, which features PlayStation branding (meaning they’re likely to get Battlefront IIDLC first, or perhaps another exclusive console like the Darth Vader model), opens somewhere between the end events in Return of the Jedi and the start of The Force Awakens, with a female captain explaining that she recalls when she received her last orders, and “that’s when the real war began.” The trailer then breaks down into a number of battle scenarios, including deep space (with a TIE Fighter flying between some wreckage) and an Imperal invasion on some kind of base, with an AT-AT in tow. But then things get interesting as the trailer goes on, as it starts to introduce some recognizable combatants into the mix. Darth Maul, who's been lurking in Star Wars canon since getting cut in half in The Phantom Menace, makes an appearance, with his double-edged lightsaber intact. But what’s even more interesting is who he’s pitted against, as you can clearly see the hands of Yoda, holding his own lightsaber. Oh, boy. The trailer also shows brief glimpses of characters that are featured in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, including Rey, running through a forest in the midst of a battle, and Kylo Ren, looking on in his helmet. You can watch the leaked trailer below, although it’s likely to be taken down at any time, since EA wants it to be official and all this Saturday. Star Wars: Battlefront II arrives later this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC. The screenplay from Stephany Folsom, Craig Kyle, Eric Pearson and Christopher Yost. Thor: Ragnarok in theaters November 3, 2017. Taking a cue from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, The Thor films have always been kind of weird, but the third installment looks to finally embrace that weirdness. With that Thor: Ragnarok looks to bring epic adventure to the Marvel universe for the first time. Marvel has never been a stranger to using rock'n roll to sell their movies but never has it been more appropriate with Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” playing loud and proud. As teaser trailers go the one for Ragnarok takes the cake, managing to introduce the audience to new characters such as Valkyrie, Grandmaster, and Hela as well as sprinkling in franchise regulars like Loki and Heimdall. The film also looks to bring in other Avengers with a little bit of Planet Hulk and not featured in the trailer Doctor Strange. With Thor’s Hammer being destroyed are we finally getting the final Infinity Stone, before next years Avengers: Infinity War? When will we get Doctor Strange in a trailer? Are the holding out on telling us that the Guardians will be in it? What song would you have chosen instead of immigrant song? Sound off in the comments below! |
